● APP design
● UX/UI DESIGN
The concept for the TastyWasty app arose during a UX/UI course as part of a team project. After using a few UX methods and creating two personas, we agreed on the unique selling proposition (USP) and the essential and nice-to-have features.
TastyWasty is an app that enables you to prepare tasty, simple, and healthy dishes with a few ingredients by using features to avoid food waste. The main feature is that you can generate simple recipes in 3 steps by taking photos of the ingredients you have at home.
Through additional features such as the information blog, nutritional information in the recipes, the Can-you-still-eat-this?-checkbox or foodsharing, users have a variety of opportunities to expand their knowledge of healthy food, food waste prevention, and sustainability.
Based on the UX concept, I created an UI design for the app that adheres to the principle ‘keep it simple & smart’. The intention is to make using the app enjoyable and productive, without causing frustration or confusion. The use of bright, fresh colours and appealing imagery is crucial in creating an emotional connection with the young users.
